Sebastian Stanis reportedly set to portrayDonald Trump.
On Wednesday,multipleoutletsreportedthat Stan, best known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,will play a young Trumpin an upcoming film titledThe Apprenticefrom filmmakerAli Abbasi.
Stan, 41, is expected to star alongsideSuccession’sJeremy Strong, who will play lawyer and prosecutor Roy Cohn, andBorat 2’sMaria Bakalova, who is set to play the former president’s first wifeIvana Trump, per multiple outlets.
An official logline for the movie states that the film is “an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit.”

The film, which is in production now, is expected to cover Trump’s business in New York City during the 1970s and 1980s, according to multiple outlets.Gabriel Sherman, an author and reporter known for his 2017 bookThe Loudest Voice in the Room, a biography of Fox News founder Roger Ailes, is writing the new movie.
Cohn, the late prosecutor and attorney whom Strong will reportedly play in the movie, was known for his work with 1950s-era U.S. senator Joseph McCarthy on various anti-communism investigations within the federal government, commonly known as “McCarthyism.” Cohn went on to work as a lawyer in New York City and counted Trump as one of his clients until his death at 59 in 1986, per aVanity Fairfeature on the pair’s relationship.

Ivana Trump, whom Bakalova is reportedly playing, married Donald in 1977. The pair had three children,Donald Jr.,IvankaandEric, before theirdivorce in the 1990s. Ivanadied in 2022at the age of 73.
