Speaking toEntertainment Tonightat iHeartRadio Musical Festival in Las Vegas on Friday, Bass, 44, spoke about the fan reaction to the band coming together again.

“It is beautiful, you know? To be this age and the fans are still this excited, it is a dream come true,” he said. “I had no idea the fandom would go this nuts.”

“I blame Taylor Swift,” Bass jokingly added in his conversation withET, laughing. “I think she sicced the Swifties on us and I think the Swifties and the *NSYNCers just kind of created this tsunami.”

“And I think it’s been so fun!” he said.

*NSYNC presented Swift, 33, with theaward for best pop videoat the VMAs earlier this month. “I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this,” the “Anti-Hero” singer said as she tried to shift her focus from *NSYNC to the award.

“I had your dolls,” she added in her acceptance speech. “Like, are you doing something? What’s going to happen now … They’re going to do something and I need to know what it is!”

Despite Bass reuniting with his bandmatesJustin Timberlake,JC Chasez,Chris KirkpatrickandJoey Fatone, the singer revealed that there are no official reunion plans just yet.

“I’ve been telling the fans, like, we don’t have solid plans right now,” Bass toldET. “We’re waiting for the strike to end, we’ve got things to do. But [the fans are] definitely shaping our future.”

The Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA)have been on strikesince July. As of Sunday, the2023 Writers Guild of America (WGA) strikereached atentative new dealwith Hollywood studios to end the writers strike after more than 140 days.

*NSYNC have been making joint public appearances in all kinds of way lately — most recently on the newest episode ofHot OneswithSean Evans.

Aftersparking reconciliation rumorsback in August, the vocal legends announced their new track for theTrolls Band Togethersoundtrack.

While this isn’t the first timethe group has reunited— having previously joined forces for their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2018 and Timberlake’s Video Vanguard Award performance in 2013 — the new song, titled “Better Place,” will mark their first in over two decades.

The full track will be released on Sept. 29, but fans can also hear portions of the songon TikTok.
