Katy Perrymay be a California girl, but she sure looks like she fits in in Hawaii!
The pop singer, 34, is currently visiting the Aloha State to film the new season ofAmerican Idolat the Aulani, a Disney resort and spa located on the island of Oʻahu. And judging from the photos she’s been sharing online, she’s certainly dressing the part.
In a series of Instagram posts on Wednesday, Perry gave fans a preview of some of her tropical outfits — including an off-the shoulder, sarong-inspired, red floral print Jean Paul Gaultier gown.
“Aloha! Can’t believe my job requirements are to wake up in Hawaii at the @disneyaulani and encourage people to believe in themselves all while wearing archive @jpgaultierofficial 🌺,” Perry captioned one of her posts, which included a gallery of photos and video of her in the dress. “I’m hashtag blessed 4 real 🤙🏻.”
Another upload had Perry playfully asking fans to find the hidden Mickey Mouse logos on her ensemble, which happened to be placed on the cups of her bustier.
Perry wore it while posing with her fellowIdoljudges, Lionel Richie andLuke Bryan, as well asIdol‘s long-running host, Ryan Seacrest.
If that weren’t enough, Perry will also appear on the ABC series in a strapless silver beaded dress with giant sequin pink hibiscus flowers on her shoulder and head.
“Do you think this outfit is too much? Or just enough?” she asked in a video onIdol‘s Instagram, showing off her look (and the matching dangling earrings she wore to accessorize it).
The Aulani posted a picture of Perry in that gown, too, snapped as she smiled next to Richie and Minnie Mouse.
Idolwas in Hawaii with its Top 20 contestants, it appeared. “This Top 20 is about to make a SPLASH! 🌊” they wrote on Instagram. ”We can’t wait for you to meet them! 🤙”
Last season, 20-year-old Maddie Poppe wascrowned the winner.
Bones previously joined the top 24 contestants in season 16 as they prepared to take the stage with their all-star celebrity duet partners. This time around, he’ll be with them every step of the way.
“For me, to be back in a place where I actually know what I’m talking about — because I just got off a show where I had no idea what I was doing for three months at all — it’s really exciting to come and actually know a little bit,” he said.

Meanwhile, things are still going strong between Perry and boyfriendOrlando Bloom, who joined her for work this week.
Earlier this month,she shared a loving tribute to Bloomin honor of the actor’s birthday. “Happiest 42nd birthday to thekindest and cutest manI’ve had the pleasure of spending time with,” she wrote alongside a shot of the actor wearing a sweatshirt that read “Woman Power.”
Perry was last in Hawaii, in fact, with Bloom — the couple spending a romantic end to 2018 together,soaking up the sun.
