NFL starJoe Burrow’s Ohio home was broken into on Monday night while the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was in Texas playing the Dallas Cowboys, authorities said.
When the 22-year-old female employee arrived at the residence, she observed a “shattered bedroom window and the room ransacked,” according to the report. She then called her mother who alerted authorities.
Burrow’s employee gave a “non-detailed itemization” of missing items, while on-scene deputies made contact with neighboring residents to collect surveillance footage of possible suspects, according to the police report.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there,” the caller said. “This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.”

The break-in comes amid a string of robberies seemingly targeting professional athletes, and two months after the Kansas City-area homes of Chiefs starsTravis KelceandPatrick Mahomeswereburglarized within 48 hours of each other.
Police with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the home at 12:08 a.m. on a burglary/breaking and entering call. There were no signs of forced entry to the home, according to the police report.
In September, Minnesota Timberwolves star Mike Conley’s Medina, Minn. home was burglarized, according toThe Minnesota Star Tribune.
Last month, the NFL warned players about the worrisome crime spree.
