Mike “The Situation” Sorrentinois giving fans a look at his final moments before beginning his prison sentence.
TheJersey Shorestar — whoreportedto the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution last week — and his new wifeLauren Pescerecorded a video while on their drive to the New York-based prison.
In the emotional clip, which wasshared to YouTubeon Monday, Sorrentino, 36, opened up about his thoughts ahead of his eight-month sentence for tax evasion and his plans to come out as a new man.
“The day before [my prison sentence began] was the only day I felt any anxiety,” Sorrentino admitted. “Today I have a sense of just happy to put this behind me.”
“I’m gonna workout every day, get in shape, and get ready to go back and film season three – that’s it,” he added. “The Situation will reveal himself in 2019. Currently under construction, but will be revealed. Under new management now.”
Before turning himself in, Sorrentino made sure to stop at Starbucks for one last treat and told his fans that he was staying strong amid a difficult time.
“You can’t show weaknesses in such a situation,” he explained.
He also shared an intimate moment with his wife, embracing in a long hug and reminding her that he loved her, before kissing Pesce for the final time and walking into the facility.

On a final note, Sorrentino paid tribute to Ray Liotta’s classic line inGoodfellas.“Now take me to jail,” he said.
It was the second time that he made theGoodfellasreference — the first coming in hisfinal tweet last weekalongside a GIF of Liotta delivering the line in the film.

Pesce, 34, has continuously kept her husband’s fans in the loop with theprison sentencingsince he first entered on Jan. 15.
On the drive there last Tuesday, Pesce filmed him reacting to fans’ supportive messages on Instagram Live.
A few days later, Pesce explained that her husband had alreadyreceived an overwhelming amountof support from his extendedJersey Shorefamily and was “doing great” since beginning his sentence behind bars.
“Hi Everyone, it’s Lauren. Mike would like to thank all of his fans worldwide for the unbelievable outpouring of love & support,” shetweetedfrom his account.
“We speak everyday & he’s doing great,” Pesce continued. “He’s received thousands of letters, he won’t be able to respond to everyone but wanted to express his gratitude to each and everyone of you.”

Sorrentino and his brother Marcwere indictedin September 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States after allegedly failing to properly pay taxes on $8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012.
In April 2017, both menwere indicted on additional chargesincluding tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records.
Sorrentinopled guiltyto one count of tax evasion in January 2018, and his brother Marc pled guilty to one count of aiding in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return. In October 2018, Sorrentino wassentenced to eight months in prisonand two years of supervised release, and Marc wassentenced to two years.
Sorrentino was also ordered to complete 500 hours of community service and was given $123,913 in restitution, which he has already paid, plus a fine of $10,000.
The couple met in math class while in community college andgot engagedon Valentine’s Day 2018.
“We went out together for about four years, and then onceJersey Shorestarted we decided to take a break throughout seasons 1 through 6,” he previously told PEOPLE. “Once [the show] was over, we eventually reconnected and have been together ever since, for over four years now.”
“She’s my best friend, my better half,” he added. “She makes me a better person. I’m so excited that she’s in my life.”
