Alex Rodriguezsure knows the way to a woman’s heart.
The former Yankees slugger has been datingJennifer Lopezfor two years now, but even she needed a little reassurance after their very first date.
“I remember I was doing my show in Vegas, and I got to Vegas, and I flew in and I was tired and there were all these flowers and chocolates and cake and everything, and I was like, ‘Who sent me all that?’” she recalled.
“I didn’t know who it was kind of, because it was kind of new. But it was really nice because it made me feel like, ‘Oh, he really likes me,'” she explained.

Lopez said that while she and Rodriguez, 43, are “generous gift-givers,” she had yet to pick out a present for his V-Day gift this year.
“This year I have a couple ideas… I have some work to do in the morning,” she joked, as Kimmel offered up a baseball for Rodriguez to do “whatever he wants” with.
The star previously gushed over her life with A-Rod, saying the two — who each have two children from previous marriages — are thrilled that their kids get along so well.
“We love each other and we love our life together,”she told PEOPLEin December. “The exciting part of our love is that we’re both very aware of how lucky we are to have found each other.”

Lopez will turn 50 in July and announced Wednesday that she’scelebrating the milestone birthdaywith a 24-date summer tour that will stretch across North America in June and July.
The shows, dubbedIt’s My Party: The Live Celebration, will be Lopez’s first tour in more than six years.
“My birthday’s in July, and so this summer I decided I wanted to do something big for my birthday because it’s a big birthday,” she said onTheEllen DeGeneresShow.
