Planetary Ventures LLC , a Google shell troupe , just signed a very expensive leaseon a very large construction and landing field in Silicon Valley . The lease in interrogation will cost the hunt giant $ 1.16 billion over the term of 60 years . The building and airfield in question is the Moffett Field , where Google ’s founders have been set down their private jet for years .
Of course , we know this was add up . All the way back in February , NASA announce the deal with Google separatrix Planetary Ventures . Now it ’s a done deal , and NASA disclose the specifics in a press release . In plus to that very large price tag , the agency said that it would save about $ 6.3 million annually in maintenance price . That ’s nifty !
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden ’s explanation of why that ’s so bang-up is priceless . “ As NASA expands its presence in space , we are prepare stride to thin our footmark here on Earth , ” aver NASA Administrator Charles Bolden . “ We want to gift taxpayer resource in scientific discovery , engineering science development and space exploration — not in maintain infrastructure we no longer need . ”

You heard that right . NASA engaged building shit in blank , credibly a wormhole or a time machine or something . Who knows what an internet companionship is going to do with an airfield . Buy more private K , maybe ? [ NASA ]
