As you might have carry , when Guy Ritchie takes on the iconic 1960s spy - fi serial , The Man from U.N.C.L.E. , the result is cool - looking , self - mocking , and full of funny natural action . At least , this first dawdler makes the U.N.C.L.E. motion picture look like a full bam .
In this new version of U.N.C.L.E. , Henry Cavill ( aka Superman ) is Napoleon Solo , the suave American spy who has to team up with the Russian Illya Kuryakin ( Armie Hammer , aka the Lone Ranger ) . They have to team up up to stop a rogue organization that ’s amaze its own atomic warhead , etc . Mostly , there is fathead “ I work out alone ” sense of humor , and clash expansive styles , along with comical stunts . If this moving picture were directed by anyone but Ritchie , it would risk being pretty monotony and nostalgic — but this looks like it ’s genuinely a flak . Good manipulation of the Temptations , too .
Fingers crossed !

Man from U.N.C.L.E. is out in August . [ viaEW ]
