It ’s that time of year again . Summer is ending , undergrad are glut university campus , and people are moving . When people move , a few things become mandatory , for object lesson , pizza or some other reward for those who help you move .
But one of the most authoritative thing anyone will do though is the annual trek to IKEA .
Every parent know what I ’m talking about . You heap into a car ( in the main a minivan or Subaru place wagon ) , already stuffed to the rim with things , and go to a store that actively advocates for you to acquire more thing . And their thing are practical ! And utile ! I mean , this year they introduced a mirror with hooks on the back tohang up tomorrow ’s outfit ! It ’s genius !

Here ’s where it gets interesting though . Have you ever gone into IKEA for just one thing ? It ’s insufferable . You have to go through the whole store to get what you need , and while shortcuts subsist , it ’s often difficult to figure out where they go , and if you ’re not deliberate , you ’ll end up back where you started . And some division are unavoidable – the baby ’s incision and the division at the ending with random knick bent peculiarly . And inevitably you find fault up something for your apartment . A smallpotted plant life . A bambootablet stall . An8 - flake model cervid . Something .
This is all easy to wrap your head around . Everyone has lived this struggle . However , once you offer this idea to how the work up surroundings and how it might shape our wellness , people close down . We lie with it can and does .

So next time someone questions the theme that the environment does n’t affect their health and deportment , and believes that we ’re totally into mastery of everything around us , give them one dim-witted job :
Take them to an IKEA , leave them in the middle , and say “ escape . ”
