Time and again , we ’ve seen that Dr. Oz peddlesgarbage cures . So it ’s no surprise that the government has gone after the ship’s company that makes one of his favourite supplement . Today the FTC announce that the people who raise green coffee tree excerpt on his show are being fined $ 9 million .
“ Lindsey Duncan and his companies made millions by falsely claiming that green coffee bonce supplement cause significant and speedy weight going , ” Jessica Rich from the FTC saidin a statement .
Back in 2011 Duncan and his companionship Pure Health and Genesis Today hired a PR house to get their unsung diet pills in the public eye . That firm got Duncan on Dr. Oz ’s show in September of that year to promote their green coffee excerption as an amazing weight loss supplement . He and other spokespeople would periodically come out on the show over the next two years .

The claim ? That viewers could recede 17 pounding in just 12 calendar week without diet or exercise . The job ? Those claims were n’t backed up by clinical trials . The lone study that might have back up his claims was discredit as “ seriously blemished ” and the party behind it settled with the FTC back in September 2014 .
The really umbrageous part was when Duncan and his companies paid other spokespeople to seem on Dr. Oz ’s show . Those people were represent as independent , impartial sources of information who were just trying to tell the world about this miracle weight going system .
