OurSpanish Gizmodocousin woke us up this cockcrow with a bit of news about the iPod Video which was apparently discussed on BBC 6 in some bit of interstitial computer programming . I ’m calling bullshit on this , but take it how you will .
During a programme earlier in the 24-hour interval , BBC 6 Music news reported Apple is set to reveal a new video iPod at the BBC Television Centre in London on October the 12th . The company is expect to reveal detail of the new MP3 and video instrumentalist as well as video sheaf to be available from the caller s iTunes store .
Luckily , the flake of the broadcast is now pretermit from BBCs website and folks in Cornwall swear they saw Bigfoot and Jersey Devil run off with naut mi and miles of audio mag tape containing tapes of Steve Jobs talk about the new Video iPod while drunk on soju , the confession of the reliable JFK assassinator , and a tripping Chief Justice Roberts talking about how “ Green is n’t just a semblance , military man , it ’s an thought . ”

update after the start . UPDATE – So we ’ve arrive some sorting of webpage fromApple South Africawhich appear to be the aforementioned Bigfoot confine a television remote control ( above ) .

Simon save :

I screw we did the rumours affair with Apple ’s website and references to television the other day – but this look like an interesting one that I just came across .
http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/vide …
which , interestingly , mechanically airt you to :

http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/
Which is not what happens with other guessed urls like http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/anythingelse – which gives you the Looking for something at Apple ? varlet . ( This does n’t happen on the independent ( US ) Apple website … . )
So I got opine , the BBC rumours , the link bizarreness , the fact that the BBC is under increasing insistency to lessen its dependance on the License Fee … Add to that the fact the BBC is testing Bittorrent TV for the UK market ( the ca n’t sell us something we ’ve already ‘ bribe ’ for a set time period … ) and the huge demand for original BBC content in outside markets , which is halter by the cost of traditional delivery outside the UK and you have a sensibly compelling shell as to why the BBC would be an idealistic launch partner for Apple in this grocery store …

So increasingly looks like the BBC will be take their ( massive ) digital catalogue to the world via iTunes ( or whatever ) with UK consumer getting some sort of particular treatment ( free BBC stuff or the Bittorrent node ) …
Or mayhap just a fantastic game of Taiwanese whispering … .
