Oh , Batman : The Brave and The Bold , clearly you have intercourse the way to my heart : A Edgar Guest - maven fill episode featuring heroes and scoundrel having to belt along each other in special vehicles for the destiny of the planet ? Yes please .
Last dark ’s “ Death Race To Oblivion ” was on the nose the kind of thing Brave and the Bold feels like it was created to do : From the ridiculous - yet - awe-inspiring concept ( Mongul force everyone to have a ace drag race , with the survival of Earth hanging in the balance ) to the choice of Edgar Albert Guest - stars ( Guy Gardner ? Plastic Man and Woozy Winks ? ) , everything was just fun ; enjoyably downlike , sure , but well done and completely watchable . Like the good episodes of the serial , “ Death Race ” worked on both the fanboy level and the – for want of a better room of putting it – childlike sense of marvel level , with a exceptional sidestep into the dreams of car fetishists this time around ( Oh , occur on , who did n’t wish go through the Jokermobile again ? ) . It may not have had the crosswalk prayer of an NPH guestspot , but in many way , “ Death Race ” was the staring example of the serial at its good , puddle less than obvious choice to come up with something that ’s apparently fun . If the rest of the second time of year ( of which this was the first official episode ) is this good , then we ’re in for a delicacy .
